Introduction
Koh Chang is a beautiful, green and mountainous island situated in Trat Province near the Cambodian border in Eastern Thailand. It is the 2nd largest island in Thailand and lies in a group of 47 islands that have been awarded National Park status due to pristine rain forest and marine life. Several other nearby islands offer accommodation including Koh Maak, Koh Wai and Koh Kood. Despite being only 300km from Bangkok the region has only recently begun to open up to tourist development.
